1. High rigidity & high torque density:

Advantages of planetary structure: Adopting the principle of planetary gear transmission, power splitting (usually 3 or more planetary gears share the load), the reducer is compact but can withstand extremely high output torque.

Enhanced helical gear design: Compared with spur gears, helical gears have longer meshing contact lines and more meshing teeth (large overlap coefficient), which significantly improves the contact strength and bending strength of the tooth surface, thereby improving the overall rigidity and load-bearing capacity. The PGH90 level can usually provide a torque output far exceeding that of spur planetary reducers of the same size.

2. High precision & low backlash:

Precision manufacturing: The PGH series usually represents a high-precision grade, with strict manufacturing processes and high gear processing accuracy.

Advantages of helical gears: Helical gear transmission is smoother, with less impact and vibration, which helps to achieve lower transmission backlash (usually available at <10 arcmin or even lower levels). This is essential for applications that require precise positioning and repeated positioning.

Preload design: Precision bearings and reasonable preload structures are often used to ensure that small motion errors can be maintained under load.

3. Smooth operation & low noise:

Helical gear meshing characteristics: The meshing of helical gears is progressive, gradually transitioning from one end of the tooth to the other end. Compared with the instantaneous full-tooth width meshing of spur gears, the impact and vibration are greatly reduced.

Vibration reduction effect: Smoother meshing brings less vibration and lower operating noise, which is particularly suitable for occasions with requirements for working environment noise (such as medical equipment, clean rooms, office automation equipment, etc.).

4. High efficiency:

Power splitting: The planetary structure itself has high efficiency.

Optimized design: High-quality gear processing, heat treatment and bearing selection, as well as optimized housing design, reduce internal friction losses, so that PGH90 helical planetary reducers usually have high transmission efficiency (single stage can reach more than 97%).

5. Compact structure & easy installation:

Coaxial input and output: The input shaft (motor shaft) and the output shaft are on the same axis, which simplifies the mechanical structure design and saves installation space.

Modular design: The PGH series usually provides standard flange interfaces (such as output flanges) for direct connection with various servo motors and stepper motors. The PGH90 is relatively compact in size and can provide high torque output that is disproportionate to its size.

1. Industrial robots:

Joint drive: As the core driving component of the robot arm joint, it provides precise rotational motion and powerful torque output to ensure the robot's positioning accuracy, repeat positioning accuracy and dynamic response performance. Its compactness is particularly important for space-constrained joint design. For example, in the wrist or waist joint of a six-axis robot.

Case: The shoulder swivel joint of a certain brand of collaborative robot uses a PGH90 reducer to achieve high-precision positioning and smooth and stable movement.

2. Machine tools and machining centers:
